Am I covered for wear and tear under my home insurance?
No. Your insurance covers you against a long list of disasters specified in your policy such as fires, floods, burst pipes malicious damage and so on.
Your policy does not cover you for maintenance as a result of general wear and tear, nor does it provide cover for repairing appliances that simply break down.
